The Stanford Medicine WellMD Center is an institution-wide program and online resource center with the goal to “demonstrate the value of strategic investment in physician health to [Stanford Medicine’s] missions of medical care, teaching and research.” The program emphasizes leadership accountability and resource commitment, as well as research to illuminate the connection between physician health and system outcomes. The WellMD website includes links to recent research on physician health; trainings and classes; a physician wellness survey; and self-assessments and resources for physicians.
