Promoting Resiliency for Interprofessional Faculty and Senior Medical Students: Outcomes of a Workshop Using Mind-Body Medicine and Interactive Reflective Rriting
Published in Medical Teacher, this article describes the outcomes of an “interprofessional, experiential, skills-based workshop […] combining two approaches: mind-body medicine skills and interactive reflective writing […] fostering self-awareness, self-discovery, reflection, and meaning-making potentially preventing/attenuating burnout and promoting resiliency.” The 2-hour workshop involved medical and nursing faculty and senior medical students. Participants reported increased understanding of burnout and felt better prepared to use meditation and reflective writing as coping tools.
