Preventing Burnout in Residency Programs: Mayo Clinic’s Unique Approach
The American Medical Association published an article about how arts and meditation served as a useful and unique intervention for the well-being of residents and fellows at Mayo Clinic. The Fellows’ and Residents’ Health and Wellness Initiative (FERHAWI) humanities program entailed artwork discussions, guided visual imagery and art projects (i.e. watercolor painting, screen printing and origami).
