Interprofessional Collaboration in Education and Practice
The National League of Nursing published this document as a call to action for higher quality interprofessional education and training. The significance of interprofessionalism is outlined through a comprehensive historical background. The aim of this document is three-fold: Improve patient experience, advance population health, and reducing cost of health care. Furthermore, the article lists factors affecting the implementation of interprofessional education and includes recommendations to deans, directors, chairs, and faculty on implementation.
