Effects of Shared Governance on Perceptions of Work and Work Environment

This quasi-experimental study, published in Nursing Economics, examined the effects of shared governance on nurse/non-nurse perceptions of work and work environment. Initiating shared governance did not significantly influence job satisfaction, anticipated turnover, and perceived effectiveness. Increases in autonomy were not sustained over time.
