Doctors’ health. Researching students’ well-being

This letter, published in the British Medical Journal, discloses how a London medical school withdrew its support for a study examining the frequency of mental health symptoms, the factors identifying students at risk, and the support services used and sought by medical students. The concern was the risk to its reputation. Two years thereafter, the project was restarted at most London medical schools and a publication is forgone.
