The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) put together a two-day forum highlighting the importance of physician wellness and burnout summarized in this document. The first day of the forum, three presenters gave an overview of physician wellness and burnout. On the second day, two keynote panels examined organizational roles and strategies such as the niche roles of medical schools, residencies, specialty boards, and professional societies. On both days, participants discussed important issues such as specific drivers of burnout and wellness in small group settings with follow-up reports provided to the entire group.
