This concluding webinar explored how health care leadership and the workforce can drive sustainability and climate resilience forward in a shifting policy landscape. Drawing from the full webinar series, Don Berwick (Institute for Healthcare Improvement), Kara Brooks (American Hospital Association), Komal Bajaj (NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi/NCB), and Seema Wadhwa (Net Positive Solutions), joined by Jeff Thompson [Gundersen Health System (former)], highlighted high-impact strategies organizations can adopt to embed sustainability into daily operations, organizational culture, and care delivery—while strengthening resilience from the inside out.
The webinar also featured practical tools developed by the NAM, which provide actionable guidance for both individuals and institutions. By aligning sustainability with cost savings, patient safety, and high-quality care, this webinar offers a path forward—one grounded in collaboration, innovation, and a shared responsibility to lead and protect health in a changing world.
