The Impact of Organisational Settings on Physician Well-Being

Published in International Journal of Health Care Quality Assurance, this research study explores how operational freedom translates to well-being outcomes in physicians. The findings show organizational support improves work satisfaction and mental energy and decreases work related exhaustion, thereby reducing turnover rates among physicians. The research recommends maintaining a positive and supportive atmosphere as a means to encourage physicians to remain and take on management positions in the health care system. Furthermore, enhancing physician influence in decision making combats exhaustion and improves organizational efficiency.
