The Health and Well-Being of Junior Doctors: Insights from a National Survey
Published in The Medical Journal of Australia, this article reports findings from a confidential survey conducted by the Australian Medical Association Council of Doctors in Training. Investigation of the health and well-being of junior doctors shows that a majority of junior doctors are concerned their own health and that of their colleague, meet criteria for low job satisfaction, burnout, and compassion fatigue. The article posits that the health and well-being of junior doctors be a personal priority as well as the responsibility of the medical profession.
