Relationship between burnout and professional conduct and attitudes among US medical students

The following article, published in JAMA, seeks to determine the relationship between measures of professionalism and burnout among US medical students. In a cross-sectional survey of 2,682 medical students, 52.8% experience burnout. Findings show that students with burnout were also less likely to report holding altruistic views regarding physicians’ responsibility to society.
