Physician Coaching to Enhance Well-Being: a Qualitative Analysis of a Pilot Intervention

This qualitative interview study evaluates the perceived impact of the pilot “Physician Well-being Coaching” program on stress and resiliency. Analysis shows that the program helps participants increase resilience via skill and awareness development in: (1) boundary setting and prioritization, (2) self-compassion and self-care, and (3) self-awareness. These insights led to behavior changes and was perceived by physicians to have indirect but positive impacts on patient care.
