Physical Activity, Quality of Life, and Burnout Among Physician Trainees: the Effect of a Team-Based, Incentivized Exercise Program
Type:
Peer-Reviewed Literature
The following prospective study examines the effects of an incentivized exercise program on physical activity (PA), quality of life (QOL), and burnout among residents and fellows (RFs). At completion, the program participants were more likely to meet the DHHS recommendations for exercise, had improved QOL, and lower burnout. With equal access to facilities, the program is shown to benefit resident health and well-being.
