Minds “At Attention”: Mindfulness Training Curbs Attentional Lapses in Military Cohorts
Type:
Peer-Reviewed Literature
This study, published in the Public Library of Science, investigated the impact of mindfulness training program (MT) on attentional performance lapses in military cohorts. A didactic-focused and a training-focused were administered. The overall findings show while protracted periods of high-demand military training may increase attentional performance lapses, training-focused MT may bolster attentional performance more than didactic-focused programs. As such, training-focused MT programs should be further examined.
