Is the professional satisfaction of general internists associate with patient satisfaction?
Type:
Peer-Reviewed Literature
A random sample of 2,620 patients with at least one visit to their physician during the preceding year completed cross-sectional surveys to examine the relation between their own satisfaction and that of their physicians. The patients of physicians who have higher professional satisfaction may themselves be more satisfied with their care. Further research will need to consider factors that may mediate the relationship between patient and physician satisfaction.
