Healing and hopefulness: a tool for doctor wellbeing

The following describes a series of monthly participatory discussions, called Healing and Hopefulness (H & H) that was implemented in a family practice. The discussions revolved around clinical successes, remarkable doctor-patient interactions, and examples of outstanding work observed in faculty and resident colleagues at their practice. Feedback for the program showed that the respondents felt valued, motivated, affirmed, and appreciated as members of the team. Particpants noted that H & H was critical to nuturing faculty and house staff wellness.
