The following article, published in Modern Healthcare, reports on the income gap between new male and female physicians in New York, which has doubled from 2010 to 2016 despite the growing number of women entering the profession. Although the study is limited to New York, the state accounts for roughly 15% of medical school graduates in the US. The issue has also been researched nationally with similar findings.
