Expressions of Clinician Well-Being
Expressions of Clinician Well-Being collects insights directly from clinicians, patients, loved ones, and organizations working to prevent burnout and promote well-being. By allowing people to creatively express their experiences with burnout, this gallery captures critical moments in the journey to well-being.
The National Academy of Medicine (NAM), a nonprofit research organization in Washington, DC, called on artists of all skills and abilities to express what clinician burnout and clinician resilience/well-being looks, sounds, and feels like to them. The purpose of Expressions of Clinician Well-Being is to promote greater awareness and understanding of barriers to clinician well-being—and solutions that promise a brighter future.
The NAM hopes that this art will offer an entry point for conversations that can be difficult to have and shed light on the joys and challenges experienced by so many.
