Differences in well-being between GPs, medical specialists, and private physicians: the role of psycho-social factors

This article, published in Health Services Research Journal, examines differences in physician well-being across different health care sectors in Finland and tests whether psycho social stressors account for these differences. General practitioners and medical specialists reported experiencing lower well-being than private physicians and the difference is partly explained by differences in psycho social stressors. The article also stresses awareness of sector-specific work stressors.
