This study, published in Annals of Surgical Oncology, examined the rate of burnout, career satisfaction, and quality of life among surgical oncologists compared with other surgical subspecialties. Members of the American College of Surgeons were surveyed and demographic variables, practice characteristics, career satisfaction, burnout, and quality of life among surgical oncologists were compared with other surgical subspecialties using validated instruments.
