University of Pittsburgh released a Building Energy Use Intensity Dashboard in 2021 that showcase’s its building energy use intensity. The University of Pittsburgh also reports its GHG emissions and is committed to producing/procuring 50% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030 and 100% by 2037 to reach carbon neutrality. In 2023, 28.3% of the University’s electricity originated from renewable energy sources.
