MMBSHS Trust is a volunteers-driven NGO with an organizational strategy to not accept external grants from any organization, including the government. MMBSHS works in Uttarakhand Himalayas on issues of public health, community health initiatives, climate change and health, health education and health literacy, and environmental health. The core of MMBSHS Trust’s work is focused on advocacy and awareness regarding equity, ethical, and justice issues in public health and healthcare systems. Its body of work also includes the consequences of climate change and environmental pollution for health in the biologically diverse, geographically challenging, and fragile ecosystem of Uttarakhand Himalayas in India. MMBSHS Trust works locally and collaboratively with national and global organizations for best practices, advocacy efforts, and knowledge sharing.
