The NAM Section Priority Ballot (mid-March to mid-April)

What Is the Section Priority Ballot?

  • The Section Priority Ballot is a critical preparatory step prior to the actual election.
  • Section members rate EACH candidate in the section from 1 (highest priority for election) to 4 (lowest priority for election).  The average ratings result in a prioritized listing of the candidates exclusively for use by the Membership Committee.
  • Section Priority results are the primary tool guiding Membership Committee selections for the final ballot.
  • The high quality of the membership is promoted through the thoughtful participation of members in the section priority ballot.

Who Is Eligible to Vote in the Section Priority Ballot?

  • All regular members may participate and are encouraged to do so.
  • International members may participate in this ranking process although they are not eligible to vote in the final ballot.
  • Voting is by section only.  (Note:  A member who nominated a candidate in a section other than his/her own will not have an opportunity to vote on that candidate in this phase of the process.)
