A Healthy America

Our nation suffers from a growing burden of preventable chronic disease. Collectively and individually, we need to act now to improve the health of the population. A Healthy America is a health information and marketing campaign that will leverage the power of contemporary media to promote healthy behaviors. The campaign will aim to inspire innovative partnerships among academic, government, corporate, philanthropic, and health care sectors—along with the nation’s most powerful news, entertainment, and social networking organizations.

A Healthy America was co-founded by the National Academies and The Public Good Projects. The Public Good Projects now manages the campaign independently, with the National Academy of Medicine as its primary scientific advisor.
