The NAM Culture of Health Program is a multiyear collaborative effort to deepen understanding, mobilize evidence, and identify strategies to create and sustain conditions that support equitable good health for everyone in America.
The program held a virtual meeting on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 10:00 am-4:00 pm ET.
The objectives of the meeting included:
- Understand the evolution of racialization and its relationship to health outcomes
- Define and critically assess intersectionality as a framework to understand health outcomes
- Highlight and celebrate examples of communities displaying resistance towards systemic racism and working to dismantle, rebuild, and create new equitable systems
