CCN Meeting August 2025

Key Meeting Takeaways:

  • Member Blake Ellis (Chico State Enterprises) facilitated a grounding exercise designed to hold
space for reflection, emotional processing, and collective visioning. Rooted in CCN Values, the
session allowed the Network to come together to acknowledge challenging realities, be present,
    and envision a positive future.
  • In the Learning Collaborative Spotlight: Social Enterprises with CCN Member Organization La
Mujer Obrera, Executive Director Lorena Andrade shared the history of and inspiration behind La
Mujer Obrera’s three social enterprises, as well as the challenges of building values-based,
    community-centered businesses.
  • The Network participated in Cluster breakouts. The Policy Cluster reviewed the agenda for its 9/4
webinar and discussed topics and themes they’d like speakers to address. The Funding Cluster
discussed roundtable logistics, session format and themes, and a potential follow-on product.
  • The Youth Engagement Cluster reviewed and provided feedback on a proposal to activate youth
engagement and leadership in the CCN.
  • Member Joanne Pérodin (CLEO Institute) presented her Member Action Plan (MAP) progress in
the MAP Exchange. Joanne explained the rationale behind her Empowering Resilient Women
program and highlighted its scope and impact. The Network reflected on Joanne’s work, offering
positive feedback and constructive ideas for the project’s next steps, which include scaling
nationally and topically, multilingual translation, and digitizing content.
