Every day, 130 Americans die from an opioid overdose — the fallout from an epidemic that is gaining speed rather than abating. Reversing this crisis requires a multi-pronged, collaborative response to better prevent, treat, and manage addiction, especially for the nation’s most vulnerable.

The co-leads of the Working Group on Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Services, part of the National Academy of Medicine’s Action Collaborative on Countering the U.S. Opioid Epidemic, will assemble a panel to discuss the most promising opportunities in prevention, treatment, and recovery, including how to provide a sustainable continuum of care for opioid use disorder, and how an integrated systems approach to prevention, treatment, and recovery can support better outcomes for all.

This event will not be webcast, but a recording will be made available after the event has concluded.
