About this Event
A workshop, sponsored by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and convened by the Institute of Medicine, will consider in detail the issues and activities required of the National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network (NCRN) in planning and implementing their inter-network data harmonization efforts. Workshop participants will provide expert input into priority areas for work and planning, given the terms of the PCORI awards; reflect on the current state of the art approaches to addressing challenges, and highlight data harmonization issues in need of further development in order to achieve the goal of network interoperability within 18 months.
Workshop discussions will focus on:
1. Informing the work of PCORI’s NCRN awardees and Coordinating Center in working toward inter-network data harmonization;
2. Reflecting on past efforts and current state of the art approaches to help identify barriers and challenges, share best practices, and identify options for progress in the area of data harmonization;
3. Identifying strategic priorities for accelerating data interoperability between PCORI NCRN awardees and existing national data sharing activities.
While this workshop is currently at capacity for in-person attendance, please contact Elizabeth Johnston for information on additional viewing options.
